I have been nothing but pleased with these tires. I autocross a front drive Mazda in SMF and these tires have supported me into back to back SMF regional championships against a lighter civic with twice the HP and a very good driver! They had 2 events "break in" before being stored, improperly I might add, for the winter. The first event of the next season was in 40 deg wet weather and I ended up with my best finish to date of 2nd overall. The grip in the wet when new was surprising, and the grip on hot sunny days was phenomenal. They helped a nose heavy fwd sedan to turn in like a miata, but not without a bit of squealing. They did lose some by the second season due to lots of fun runs and another improper winter storage in my shed, but still had plenty of grip and meat left. The fronts ( now rears) are getting a bit thin, but they're going up for a third season of abuse. I'm sure there is someone questioning my rating for comfort, and noise on here. I did my ratings based on what it's supposed to be. Its not supposed to be comfortable, its a race tire. For a racing compound tire it's fairly comfortable.I can't bring myself to knock down it's rating based on something that has no bearing on competition! Treadwear, I've been impressed. I tote the tires to the events and then mount them, and unmount them to return to my street tires at the end. They get absolutely nothing but abuse their entire lives with no highway cushy driving to give a real longevity test. Still, for tires that get flogged constantly, they've lasted exceptionally well. I really can't say about the noise, as I can't hear them over my engine. The only way you're going to do better IMO is with a set of brand new Hoosiers, which you'll pay twice as much for, last 1/4 as long, and will be measured by the 1/100 of a second gain.

I've used this tire on the track. I gained 2-3 sec vs Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Great under threshold braking with adequate stability. Once they get warm they shine and drop off a little towards the end of a track session. Overall I am very pleased with these tires. They are very noisy but after awhile I got used to them.
