Offering two tread designs (STR & STRA), this new all season product achieves new performance levels for the latest generation of Sport Utility, Light Truck & 4X4 vehicles. The STR design is characterized by round shoulder blocks and an open tread design, whereas the STRA has a "squarer" and a more robust shoulder area with full shoulder blocks, and aggressive tread design for increased stability and performance especially with larger vehicles. The Scorpion STR offers exceptional street performance with excellent balance in off-road conditions and delivers a quite and precise ride, while providing superior comfort and handling. The Scorpion STR also meets the severest international standards in terms of safety.

Worn out at 36k. Has a 65k warranty but Pirelli won't cover them because they came on the car new. Noisy and wears out like cheap off brand tires from China

What a disapointment on the Pirelli warranty. I have 42,000 miles on a warranty tire and Pirelli did absolutely nothing to resolve the cupping defective tire. By the way I have AWD so I have to purchase all four tires so the tread wear will match (explained by their customer service warranty dept). Read their warranty they have so many outs that it is ridiculous. The good news my Lincoln customer service came to the rescue they are installing (4) brand new Michelin tires on my MKX Lincoln for the cost of one Pirelli tire. We are also in the process of buying a new MKS for my wife and I will guarantee you they will not have Pirelli tires on the vehicle I will insist on switching them out. By the way I am not a warranty chaser I think in the last 20 years I made one claim on a battery but this issue was absurd on the warranty. Can you imagine a competitor, Michelin is helping me on Pirelli's lack of warranty, WOW. No I do not work for Michelin and I have no relationship with them. This was done by Lincoln's customers service dept. they made it happen they were extremely pleasant to deal with. Run from Pirelli tires save your money! If you are buying a new vehicle insist on switching them!!! Most likely Pirelli will not post this, they only post good reviews, this is stated in their submitting a review agreement they can censor reviews to promote business. By the way this is my very first review that I have ever submitted I never waste my time, hopefully by writing this it will help others.

These tires cam on our 2013 Ford Edge and for the first 20000 miles, I'd say they were an average tire. As the mileage got higher the noise level got higher. I took the to the dealer, thinking we had wheel bearings going bad. Their response was this is normal for this tire. Called Pirelli about the noise, their response was, never had any complaints on them. They must live in a vacuum!! After some 45000 miles and good tread they sound like snow tires. I'd never again buy a vehicle if it had Pirelli tires on it.

Had a new 08 Edge.AWD.18 inch Michelin tires were excellent. New 2013 Edge AWD came with Pirelli P245/50rx20 Scorpians. Initially the tires were great. After 25,000 KM, tires became noisier and noisier. At 40KM, Thought the hub and wheel bearings assemblies in the rear were worn out. Ford dealer said it was typical Pirelli 'tire noise'. He was disappointed that Ford put these tires on their vehicles. Keep in mind, these tires look like new with hardly any wear. As good as they looked, I put on 2 new Michelin, Latitude Tourings HP on the rear. What a difference! No noise in the rear now. So far so good! PS: I was once a 'very busy' tire salesman for over 30 yrs.
