Offering two tread designs (STR & STRA), this new all season product achieves new performance levels for the latest generation of Sport Utility, Light Truck & 4X4 vehicles. The STR design is characterized by round shoulder blocks and an open tread design, whereas the STRA has a "squarer" and a more robust shoulder area with full shoulder blocks, and aggressive tread design for increased stability and performance especially with larger vehicles. The Scorpion STR offers exceptional street performance with excellent balance in off-road conditions and delivers a quite and precise ride, while providing superior comfort and handling. The Scorpion STR also meets the severest international standards in terms of safety.

Had a new 08 Edge.AWD.18 inch Michelin tires were excellent. New 2013 Edge AWD came with Pirelli P245/50rx20 Scorpians. Initially the tires were great. After 25,000 KM, tires became noisier and noisier. At 40KM, Thought the hub and wheel bearings assemblies in the rear were worn out. Ford dealer said it was typical Pirelli 'tire noise'. He was disappointed that Ford put these tires on their vehicles. Keep in mind, these tires look like new with hardly any wear. As good as they looked, I put on 2 new Michelin, Latitude Tourings HP on the rear. What a difference! No noise in the rear now. So far so good! PS: I was once a 'very busy' tire salesman for over 30 yrs.

2 tires on solid rear axle, kept at proper tire pressure via gauge and monitor in car. One tire is fine, the other has worn twice as fast in the middle as the outside and it is wearing twice as fast the other.. I have seen similar wear on same tire for sale on ebay. Obviously there is quality issue here. Better off spending a little more and getting a better brand. I won't make this mistake again.

I have a 2012 Ford Edge with 23000 miles on it and the "great" Pirelli Scorpion tires are wearing the centers out. Course Pirelli wont tread warranty on OEM tire. So much for a 65000 mile tread life. Tires rotated and air pressure checked regularly, and still wearing the middles out. Edges of tire are fine. Dont think I would ever put this or any Pirelli on a vehicle.

I have a 2010 Volvo XC60, the treadwear is pretty bad, I only got about 18000 miles on the tread and the tires screech a lot when going around corners. I would not recomend these tires not to mention they are a little on the pricey side
