The Scorpion™ Winter is Pirelli´s Light Truck/SUV Performance Winter / Snow tire developed for the drivers of today´s powerful luxury crossovers and sport utility vehicles. The Scorpion™ Winter is the tire of choice for AMG, Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo. It was developed in close collaboration with Porsche and Volkswagen, and works with the most recent traction control and ABS systems.

  • Ecoimpact icons branded on the sidewalls highlight the tire´s contribution to the environment with regards to energy efficiency, clean air and low noise.
  • Scorpion™ Winter tires are designed to deliver low-temperature wintertime driving performance by combining predictable handling on dry and wet roads with traction in snow and on ice.
  • Featuring a tread rubber compound that introduces a new polymer blend and a higher content of silica components, the Scorpion™ Winter enhances grip and handling in typical winter driving conditions.
  • The tread compound is molded into a directional design that features stable shoulders to enhance dry road handling, circumferential grooves to help maintain good traction on wet and slush-covered roads while circumferential and lateral sipes help bite into snow and on ice. Scorpion™ Winter meets the industry´s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.

Good tire for none winter condition... When there is no snow or ice, they work good. When there is packed snow or ice, I do not feel I have any traction. Second season on them, I do not feel like they are delivering what I need under Canadian winter.

Very happy with these tires and the rims - the delivery was on time and the pricing was good. The only issue so far is the tire pressure sensors which generated alarm conditions with widely varying pressure readings from tire to tire when temperatures plummeted to -20C. The pressures were all correct when the tires were installed on the vehicle. Refilled the tires and the issue eventually went away.

This tire is horrible in snow. It is unstable in a ML63. I wish I didn't get them although until the snow came I thought they were amazing winters in the wet and dry. The tread is also wearing unevenly in all four tires. One of the rubber tracks seems to have a compound variation and appears that it is prematurely wearing as well.
