Original equipment on many high-performance vehicles, the Potenza RE050 is built for the pleasure of driving. This tire comes loaded with race-proven technology: UNI-T for outstanding wet and dry traction, a tread pattern that promotes rapid water evacuation, variable dimensions in the tread blocks, and the smoother shape to reduce road noise. An asymmetrical pattern in the RE050A tread increases surface contact to enhance acceleration and cornering. Put this Potenza through its paces and discover what ultra-high performance really means.

Avoid these piece-of-crap tires. I replaced my factory Goodyear run flats when a rear tire blew a sidewall on the freeway. One of my replacement Potenzas failed to hold air after less than 2000 miles of moderate driving. Upon replacement. It was found to have a crack in the sidewall. tire shop said it was a road hazard fail so they wouldn't have to replace it under warranty (Wheel Works), but there was no mark on the tire. Just a jagged crack in the sidewall. I'd avoid RF tires in general and these inn particular.

Do avoid these Run Flats if you can. I found them to be excessively noisy and uncomfortable to run. You'll also notice these tires 'tramline' much worse than others I've used, they find their way into ruts and grooves in the driving surface and will direct your car whichever way they please. For the money you could do much much better, even if it means buying a compact spare and or an emergency pump kit as an alternative to run-flat tires. There are better runflat options out there, and unfortunately these tires are giving all Potenzas some bad buzz.

BMW 323i w/ sport Package HORRIBLE treadwear even given my driving style. Barely made it through two seasons with these tires. Otherwise been quite happy with them but can't justify the added cost and inferior treadwear as compared to the non-runflats. That's what roadside assistance if for. Will not purchase again.
