These have been the noisiest tires I have ever owned. I would never buy them again. Tread wear is great, but I can't stand the noise. I am also starting to develop cracks in the tread.

Glad to hear I'm not crazy! Bought these tires back in '08, and they performed fine for the first 10K miles. Then the noise started. Thought it was the CV joints because of the dreadful WHUM..WHUM that started at about 30 mph and got progressively worse at high speeds. Have tried rotating regularly but no real improvements resulted. It's a shame; the tires are great in all weather conditions and they don't wear out quickly, but the noise is unbearable. Can't bring myself to throw away good tires but it ruins the whole driving experience. Would recommend another choice.

I have 225/55R17 97V M+S Bridgestone potenza G019 Grid on my Subaru outback. They were fine the first few months, later on they started becoming progressively more NOISY, and now they are so bad that the humming actually starts to hurt my ears at about 45-60 miles per hour speed. They handle great wet, dry, and snow but NOISE IS INBERABLE. Also the outside edges are wearing pretty fast and u can see small tiny cracks on the edges. We are very disappointed with these tires. We will NEVER buy from this company again. Total waste of money.!!!! What I will do is buy 2 new tires (some other brand ofcourse) and swap the 2 front bridgestone ones and will keep them until the rear ones will wear out. Seems like most of the noise is coming from the front tires. I also tried inflating them more then deflating below the recommended pressure but nothing seems to help. THE NOISE KEEPS PERSISTING.

These Grid G019 tires were always a little on the noisy side when at highway speeds. Then after the first 14,000 miles the tires noise greatly increased because all four tires were cupping on the insides, despite regular tire rotations. This is a known issue about the Grid G019. Not satisfied at all with these tires. Will be receiving prorated refund from tire seller to be put towards another set of four tires.

I put these tires on my 07 Jetta GLI. Replaced continental DWS. It was a mistake that I listened to the sales rep. These tires are a bit noisy. After 700 miles and lack of response I brought them back and put on RE970AS Pole Positions and I can already tell the different. If you don't care about feeling everything when you drive than these are the tires for you. Every little bump comes through. There definately is a difference between high performance and Ultra high.
