Original equipment on many high-performance vehicles, the Potenza RE050 is built for the pleasure of driving. This tire comes loaded with race-proven technology: UNI-T for outstanding wet and dry traction, a tread pattern that promotes rapid water evacuation, variable dimensions in the tread blocks, and the smoother shape to reduce road noise. An asymmetrical pattern in the RE050A tread increases surface contact to enhance acceleration and cornering. Put this Potenza through its paces and discover what ultra-high performance really means

  • The rear left tire has exploded after a blow-out sound for about 1 second after driving 5000 km. My car is 2010 mx-5 Miata. Mazda dealer said a 5 mm glass caused about 15 cm crack in the tire. I don't think I can beleive that. Something is not right here.

  • Great tire, will not change, no reason too, rears get about 45-50,000km, front about 80-90,000km, drove with them once in the snow...zero traction... slid down a hill with a 1% grade. Stay away from the pole position version, i burned that rears off in about 20,000km...rubbish

  • Insignia Elite - Wet and dry grip is satisfactory but not outstandind. Wear at 9000miles about 75% used and I'm not a quick driver these days (71). Grip in snow is so useless as to be positively dangerous.

  • 2007 Mazdaspeed3 - 215/45/18 - A good performing OEM tire on my car. Everybody should know that OEM tires are crap for treadwear. Absolutely horrible in the snow, but hey they're Summer tires, not all season.
