Just got them and, so far like them a lot. Good all around tire for a performance car that is a daily driver. Not sure how long they will last here in SW Florida because, the roads and heat here wipe out tires with a quickness compared to other places.

After a lot of research, I decided to go with these tires. I've only had them on my car roughly 2 weeks. So far, there is no road noise coming from them. Handling seems to be improved over stock tire 235/50/18 Pirelli's. Only time will tell how the treadwear will be but these are only used for the summer. The tires do feel a little firmer though and ride quality hasn't been affected either. I highly recommend these tires if you're looking for a new set.

Road noise and terribly snow handling, makes me regret why I bought these. I have Good Year Fuel Max all season on my wife's car and they are much netter than the Potenza.VT

If noise and comfort are not your priority, it's an OK tire. However, the RE970 is loud and the road imperfections transmit through the car quite easily, even more so that the stock Goodyear RSA. Fuel mileage is not good (my Civic's consumption when up around 8% over stock) due to poor rolling resistance. On several stretches of downhill where I used to coast down at 60 km/h, with the RE970AS tires the car would actually Slow Down while going the same downhill. Worse of all, after sitting outside overnight on cold nights, the tires would develop flat spots, causing a bumpy ride for about 10 minutes before warming up. After a month of use, I returned them for Michelin Pilot Exalto for about $150 more. The whole car changed - quiet, comfortable, fuel economy returned, no more flat spots in in the morning. And the traction in the rain on the Pilots is superior to the RE970AS. Can't rate on Treadwear or Snow, but I couldn't leave them blank.
