The CS4 Toring™ size coverage accommodates a wide range of vehicles from sport models and sedans to SUVs and CUVs

    • Variable Density Nylon Technology. Nylon is strategically placed in a manner to resist flat spotting for improved ride quality and balanced, even tread wear for long life.
    • Innovative 5-Rib (H/V-Rated) and 4-Rib (T-Rated) All-Season Tread Design. The innovative tread design incorporates numerous features to provide for excellent stability, traction and tread wear.
    • Coupled Silica Tread Compound. The chemically coupled silica and carbon black compound allows for superior wet traction without sacrificing tread wear. An optimized polymer matrix allows the compound to remain pliable at lower temperatures while contributing to lower rolling resistance.
    • Tapered Circumferential Sipes Rib (H/V-Rated). The tapered circumferential sipes allow for increased capillary action to remove water from the tread area to reduce wet stop distances and provide extra grip in rain and snow.
    • Open Shoulder Design (T-Rated). The open shoulder design utilizes lateral slots and strategic siping to create biting edges for all-season traction, improved wet cornering performance and excellent handling in snow.

First set lasted 45,000 miles with 5000 mile rotations. Got another set prorated and at 40,000 miles they are completely worn out. Like the tire but figure on 40,000 miles on a well maintained minivan.

Okay, read this and freak out: I bought a set of Coopers CS4 that were rated at 85,000 miles back in 2007. This is July 2014, the tires have 110,000 miles on them and they still have thread left for another 10,000 miles. These numbers by far exceed anything I've read or heard anywhere. I drive to work at high speed on highways Monday thru Friday and I put about 30 miles in the city on week-ends. The car is a Ford Five Hundred, the tire size is 225/55R18. I rotate them front to back only, not side to side to preserve the steel belt set which causes radials to fail. I recommend these tires without reservation. These tires exceeded anything Cooper ever claimed and they surpass any tires in their class.

I HAVE WAITED A WHILE BEFORE REVIEWING THESE TIRES. I MUST SAY THAT AFTER HAVING DRIVEN IN ALL MANNER OF WEATHER FROM THE SNOWSTORMS IN THE NORTHEAST TO THE TROPICAL HEAT AND THUNDERSTORMS OF FLORIDA, THESE TIRES WILL PERFORM. GRANTED THEY ARE NOT " MIRACLE " TIRES. THEY WILL DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO AS LONG AS THE OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE DOES HIS/HER PART. GREAT TRACTION, SMOOTH RIDE, GREAT HANDLING. YOU COULD PAY ALOT MORE FOR TIRE THAT DONT PERFORM AS WELL. TRULY PREMIUM TIRE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. I HAVE PUT SLIGHTLY OVER 40,000 MILES ON THEM AND STILL HAVE 8/32 nds TREAD LEFT. WILL BUY AGAIN AND AGAIN.

I did a lot of research on tires and my tire guy recommended the Cooper CS4 for my vehicle. I bough 4 tires and 10 months later I started getting a vibration in the vehicle driving down the road and everyday it was getting worse come to find out 1 of the tires separated. My tire guy replaced 2 of the tires free of charge and sent me on my way. Now, 16 months have past and one of the original tires that was not changed has started to separate. Now I hope my tire guy changes it for free. We will see. I have never had problems with tires like this and will not be buying again.

Bought these as a replacement to the continentals on my 2009 Saab 93. I went with a 50-series sidewal instead of the 45 just so i could have a bit softer ride. They handle ok, but are a bit squirely on curves, once the sidewall flexes they track good. I like them on the highway, but they do have a louder noise due to open tread pattern. They also have reduced my mileage by about 10%. All in all, they are ok for the money.
