After reading comments regarding poor tyre wear with these tyres I'm motivated to post my experience with fk452s. Firstly I have used Falken tyres for the best part of twenty years, enough said I think. Now I drive my 2006 M3 with traction control switched off, it intervenes far too much, and "sport" switched on and whilst we endure 60 mph speed limits where I live, there are plenty of the right roads where I can stretch my cars legs, so to speak. With regards to wear, I've achieved near 36,000 miles on the front tyres and averaging about 18,000 miles on the rears. With my E90 325i sport, the daily hack, I have had similar experience with 453s. Having said that, the brake pads in my E30 M3 lasted me just over 60,000 miles and so that may say something about our driving conditions here in Australia and/or say something about my personal driving style. I would buy them again, just because I know them to be a good reliable tyre.

Bought these for my 1990 BMW 325i in a staggered setup and they're the best tires I've had, way better than Yokohama S Drives. I can't break these things loose! They grip like nobody's business and hold their own really well in the wet. Now my car has been lowered and it's got fender flares and basically is not a car designed for comfort so I really can't say anything on that subject, however these tires are a bit noisy. Not a humming but a very audible slap at high speeds. Doesn't bug me at all, and the performance and price make these well worth and I'll be buying these tires for quite some time.

Some people seem to be forgetting that tire wear on an ultra high performance summer tire is going to be much more substantial than that of an all season. If you're concerned about tire wear get an all season, don't expect summer tires to last you more than two seasons. This is a great tire, I've bought a full set twice now and have had no complaints. Yes there is a bit of noise but it's an aggressive tread so that's expected. Grip is flat, and there is no roll. Ride is dependent on wall height, but they have held up for me very well on 35's even with a stretch. Buy with confidence.
