I own a '03 Pathfinder with Falken S/TZ04 tires. My tire size is P255/65/16. I am an aggressive/highly experienced driver that drives in NY. Upon reading some of these reviews I am disappointed in the lack of research by some people. Those with a larger rim WILL experience a bumpy and noisy ride because your rim is bordering your sidewall. Next, FALKEN S/TZ04’s are really meant for light trucks/light SUV’s… NOT PICKUP’s, SUBURBAN OR DENALI’s. Yes they fit but there are better tires for LARGER trucks. Since LARGER trucks are heavy, the Falkens will wear much quicker do to the hard grind of road. My wheel size allows for a quieter ride since the rim (16in.) is not bordering the sidewall. However, these are PERFORMANCE TIRES meant for a LIGHT TRUCK/LIGHT SUV. That means it IS NOT a normal heavy tire like the MICHELIN LTX MS2 which is meant for LARGER TRUCKS. In addition, the specs for this tire are 500, A,B with a tread of 12/32 and load/speed of 112(S). Furthermore, these tires are an excellent investment and are reliable in all road conditions. Those concerned with snow traction should keep in mind many people do not have their roads paved by local government. Here in NY we have a dedicated city force that paves our streets. But for places like Massachusetts who get heavy snow ( 10 ft or greater) WILL NOT have much luck with these tires. Another problem is that people fail to rotate their tires every 3000 or 5000 miles (depending on the road conditions in which you live, distance driven or type of driver) OR even do a quick self-inspection to determine the quality of their tire. Moreover, I have driven in pretty bad snow conditions (5ft and greater) and these tires coupled with smart driving will yield satisfying results. Lastly, I have helped many people with selecting tires, so for those reading this, please ask away with questions.

I bought these tires years ago in Texas where they did fine, I attempted to go into the sand with them on a beach where there was camping and right away lost all traction. On wet ground they get almost no traction and while turning a curve a giving slight gas causes my vehicle to fish tail. When i Moved to upstate Ny I drove with them on to go buy snow tires because the winters there can be kind of brutal, on the way to sears which was about 5 miles away it felt like it never had traction at all. Over all these tire are cheap ok for summer road driving. All season driving not so good and for sure no driving in the snow with them not even with 4 wheel drive active. NOT RECOMMENDED

Had a set on a 2003 Element and they were DONE after less than 30K miles, and I have a different set of winter tires that I use 5 months of the year so in reality, they were probably finished in 24K miles... I'd never buy again.
