Spirit of the All Season Performance Tire

Imagine an all season performance tire designed to offer true grip and increased traction that ultimately advances driver confidence whatever the weather condition. With the ZIEX ZE912, Falken has developed a tire with full-depth sipes encircling the tread, coupled with high-volume circumferential grooves and high angle variable cross grooves, that bring together the spirit of performance driving in all climates. When faced with wet conditions, the ZIEX ZE912 features increased hydroplane resistance and increased tread stability by evacuating water away, delivering improved grip composure, while its hybrid-asymmetric pattern produces better dry performance and genuine touring confidence during each and every season. The result is a tire that performs regardless of the condition of the road.

    • Hybrid-Asymmetric Pattern Design – Optimized inside and outside tread patterns to ensure all-season grip on demand
    • Infinite Sipe Sequence – Full-depth sipes throughout the entire tread platform creating biting edges that dramatically increase traction in all seasons
    • Rotation Wear Indicators (RWI) – Falken engineered visual cues that help the driver maximize tire life and overall tire value, prompting regular tire maintenance
    • Four High-Volume Circumferential Grooves – Designed to deliver increased hydroplane resistance and maximum stability in wet conditions
    • High Angle Variable Cross Grooves – In inclement weather conditions, these grooves effectively evacuate water away from the contact patch

Probably the worst tires I have ever owned. By the time I had 20k miles on them they were almost worn out, caused the car to pull to the right and were very noisy. I rotated them every 5k miles. They came on the care new when I purchased it. Just put a new set of Michelins on and wow what a difference. I cannot recommend.

These tires are excellent. They have good grip in dry, rain, and snow. I had Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position before these, and comparetively the grip in dry and wet was as good, the grip in snow was a little better than the Pole Positions. I read how people say these tires have no grip on ice, I say they have good grip on ice for a tire with no spikes/studs. One area they do not match up to the Bridgestones is wear, with the same style of driving on both sets the Falkens wore out quicker, but with the difference in price the money spent isnt much different, so all in all I say this is an excellent tire. I originally got them because Pole Positions are no longer available in 185/60R14, so if youre reading this Falken, keep making this size, for the AE86. I do like to drift occasionally when its slippery out, possibly why I can drive on ice with old school RWD while others struggle on in their modern cars. Tread lasted about 20,000 before indicator holes went away, and another 9,000 before they went bald on the outside block of tread, they are still good in the rain in this condition, but are way more prone to hydroplane now. these tires would definitely last the 65,000 miles if I didn't have fun with them time to time, but what a waste of life that would be.

I put 4 of these tires on my mothers car 2 years ago. They only have 20,000 miles on them and the two front tires are bald. BTW my mother is 81 years old and definitely NOT an agressive tires. These tires are garbage!

There is nothing bad you can say about this tire for the price, I bought these at 93 a tire off of tires-easy because I needed a low priced but good all season tire compared to what my car came with previous which was nexen CP641's. The grip is more than adequate for what you pay (as long as you dont buy off 1010 @ 153 a tire) so dont go listening to the negative reviews about these tires being horrendous in the dry and wet when alot of these people are comparing them to street radials or 175 dollar or more high end performance summer tires. These are an all season tire, which means they compromise to maintain a good balance but their compound is fantastic, which is why they are so sticky in the dry and wet weather. That also attributes to low treadwear, every set of these I have owned have worn prematurely due to aggressive driving compared to what they are rated for. But that is a compromise i can live with knowing that I am getting a good safe tire for a low price.
