I just bought these tires yesterday and holy smokes , what a great tire. We live up in the hills and have to drive up and down these icy hills all the time to try and make it to work. These tires did a very outstanding job getting me to work and home safe at the end of the day. I would buy these tires for my mother. And what a great price at 600 bucks for all four tires installed and balanced taxes in. Dont have anything bad to say about them. Get them you wont regret it! Jerry form Canada BC, snowing like crazy here jan 17 2012

Excellent in snow, especially thick snow. Used them for 3 seasons (not high mileage), but since the original tread depth is 13/32 so they still look like new and lots to go. It's a brand name but they aren't pricy like many others. Getting another set for my other car this year.

I've been using these on my minivan for the past 4 winters and love them. They're excellent on all types of snow, never have any problems. Even after 20,000km they still look newish. Only downside is that they are pretty noisy on dry pavement, but who cares about that when you've got safe tires on?
I highly recommend them.

Got my first set of these 7 years ago. Went to salvage yard, bought a set of used steel wheels(6.5 wide). Got 215/75R15's the skinniest that would fit right. I was slipping and slideing to the installer, they put these on... It felt like I was driving a Ferrari on the snow and ice, it handled like dry pavement. An Overstatement, but these are AMAZING SNOW TIRES, no experience with other brands. I am buying a new set this year. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks.
Caveat: I have SUMMER TIRES on Alloys that are worthless on snow(255/55R17)I switch the "Winterforce" to "Alloys" before the temp hits 75*F+ otherwise they get really squishy,& will wearout fast. "Winterforce" go on when below 50*F. You have to commit to dedicated seasonal tire swaps, But It Is Well worth It.
Loads of tread left on them, but they felt stiff, and not so responsive last year, so getting new ones. You're really not supposed have tires that old anyway.

I have had these tires on my wifes Mazda3 for 4 Southern-Ontario winters now. They still look like they have about 90%+ of tread left.
Not once did I even come close to getting stuck in snow. Braking is amazing especially considering the fact that my wifes Mazda3 didn't come with ABS, wheels nearly never lock up.
I had various other winter tires in the past, Michelin X-ice (only good on ice, horrible on snow). Toyo Observe G-02 were the only other set that came close to the Firestone Winterforce performance, although I found them to be even worse at overall handling and treadwear. Nokian WRG2, not good at all in deep snow, but this is not a true winter tire, more of a "4-season" tire.
I would recommend the Firestone Winterfore tires to anyone that is looking for a Safe winter tire first and foremost.
If you are looking for the quietest, or best handling tire look elsewhere, but be sure to do some slipping and sliding if you go that route.
