I'm not much on giving reviews but this tire deserves a top rating, in my opinion. I have owned numerous brands of snow tires in the past but I will have to say in the Virginia mountains, this does an excellent job.

Thse were used for 3-4 months in the Ellicottville region. Travelling from Canada to eastern NY state. some road noise, traction in snow was great, wet snow was very good, ice was good, wet clear roads are good, dry was OK grabby & like to wander abit (tracking). tread life is still OK (20K) 70%, had for 2 seasons for Yukon, Have NOW been moved to the 2001 Chev Sil. 4x4.Xcab

On year 4 for these tires. Very pleased overall. Good tread life. Will probably replace after 5 winters. Only complaint is the road noise.

In snow these tires are like little monster claws! On dry roads..it held my SUV escape to the road like glue in an emergency zig zag! Wet roads, very positive traction and water displacement. Comfort: you know they are snows if you drive all year with them and i do..excellent control all year round. Noise: They are comfortable and quiet depending on the type of surface you are driving on. An EXCELLENT tire..i will put nothing different on my Chevy s-10 crew cab 4x4 or my Ford Escape 4x4. Just get the original size the manufacturer put on...see your vin tag on drivers door edge for proper size..it does matter..and rotate, and keep the proper air in...that matters too... :)
