  • 2005 Buick Rendezvous AWD - 225/60/17 - A very good summer tire, good wet weather and dry weather tire. Completely unsuited for winter driving, almost zero grip on icy roads, worn out OEM All season's were better in the snow and ice. Calgary

  • 2006 Chevrolet Impala - 225/60R16 - 19,000 miles on Altimax RT tires. Already down to 6/32" tread depth (tires started at 11/32"). Winter traction is dismal. Tires perform horribly even in the lightest of snow. Addtionaly, cold weather dry traction is terrible. Tires harden and lose grip in temps below 40 degrees F. On wet pavement, tires spin when accelerating from a stop. They channel water well when at speed. Noise has risen considerably as mileage increases. Ride quality has become quite harsh as well. Road irregularities are not cushioned very well for a touring tire. They were quiet at first, but are now quite noisy at speeds above 40mph. Steering response is fair. Handling is average. Not a tire for drivers who experience below freezing temps or any snow. I am replacing them very soon with Michelin Primacy MXV4's.
