Put these on my Boxster to replace original Mich. PS2's that I wore out in 14,000 miles. No noticeable difference in performance except that the PS's were worn out and it's hard to relate rainy weather adhesion unless you drive new tires back to back for compairison. Overall for the money these are a great deal even on one of the worlds best handling cars. Sticking with factory correct sizing and stagger most similar performance tires perform close in the dry with snow and rain being the deciding factor

I read all kinds of wonderful comments about these tires before I bought them but now I wonder who wrote those reviews. These tires have been nothing but trouble. I'm on my second set (replaced by distributor) and they're as bad as the original set. It's like there was no quality control in production at all. There are so many high and low spots on them it took three different shops road force balancing them before I could find someone who could at least make my car drivable again (still has a vibration though). All in all I spent an additional $300 in diagnostics and balancing all because these tires are garbage. Finally, all the comments about the great customer service at General Tire...REALLY? Who wrote those?? Their employees? General Tire could care less about all the problems I've been having. They did absolutley nothing when I called them except tell me to go back to their dealer who had already said he couldn't help me anymore after the second set turned up bad. All I can say is never again.

I bought the 205/55/16 for my bmw 325i as a budget summer tire. Traction was fantastic and tread wear was quite acceptible. I've had them for 3 years and there's still a good amount of thread left. What I love about them is that they're VERY quiet and give my bimmer that lux feeling. What I don't like about them is that their sidewalls are very soft and cornering is sloppy even on daily commutes. Putting these on a bimmer definitely takes away from "the ultimate driving machine". if you're looking for good value and a quiet ride and great traction, these are your tires. If you want good handling, I would recommend looking elsewhere. One of the tires just blew out last night so I'm looking for a new set. Will probably try something a little higher performance this time around.
