A family member had Trpletreads on an Infinity FX 35 and they were an outstanding commuter tire for Alberta winters. Treadwear was nearly 90k when changed out. My experience on the MKX has been outstanding during one of the worst winters on record. Seem to be wearing well to this point but I cannot speak to the long term. Ride is a little stiffer than some other tires. Other reviews have been critical of noise but this is to be expected given the tread pattern and winter performance. Noise has not been problematic for me. BTW changed out factory 22 inch rims for aftermarket 18's and these tires. The big wheels and Pirelli's looked sharp but were totally impractical for winter conditions or rough roads.

this is the 3rd set of tires on this vehicle. I was looking for a tire with excellent traction in all normal driving conditions and good wear It easily meets my expectations. After 25k of use there is very little wear. The tread wear rating is very (about 740 which is higher than most on the market). They are nosier than either the OEM Dunlops or the previous Yokohama Avids but neither of those lasted very long

As far as tires in this price range are concerned, this is a great tire. I drive somewhat aggressively but not carelessly--when road conditions are poor I am more reserved, perhaps still slightly more aggressive than the average driver. They behave as expected in dry, wet, snowy or icy conditions, handling is a little stiff, comfort is average, they are a little noisy and tread wear depends on how and where they are driven. I'd certainly buy these again.

All things compared, I couldn't be happier with this tire. Phenomenal traction in all conditions. I don't even switch to snow tires as these do great, and I am in a snow belt area. Plan on getting a set for my new Monte Carlo as well!
