I drive a Buick Park Avenue Ultra that is low mileage, great condition. I push that Supercharged 3.8 liter hard. I use this car for commuting into NYC and these tires handle the pot holes in the streets well and also take no apparent damage or scuffing while parking, protecting my rims. On weekends, I push that nearly 2 ton sedan through Catskill Mountain roads at likely "unsafe" speeds and these tires stick like glue. I was pleased with the wet traction and surprised by the decent snow handling. For that good dry pavement handling, you must pay a price and that price is soft, sticky rubber that wears poorly. 75% of my 12,000 miles are highway and city driving with a 50-50 split on that and the rest is me pushing that Buick hard through mountain roads at high speed, aggressively taking the turns. The tread is wearing rapidly and if I get 25,000-30,000 miles out of these I'll be surprised.

Pros: good (not great) handling with decent cornering. Good traction in dry climates. Lasted 50K miles. Cons: abysmal snow traction!!! Fairly loud. Extremely loud on certain pavement. Wet traction was fair at first. (After 20k miles, became bad) Summary: Last long and have decent handling but I would in no way recommend these tires. After 40K miles, these tires go from OK to bald very fast.

This has to be the best tire that I ever had and owned for a Radial tire. I am very disappointed in Goodyear discontinuing this tire and wish the manufacturer would reproduce and introduce them to the market again. However, I guess it did not make the corporation the money they expected so that is the way business goes. I am currently looking for the P205 60R15 for my 1994 Altima (Purchased new fro Barry Volvo/Nissan in Newport Rhode Island) which had another style Good Year Eagle tire which also discontinued. It is really sad that you can never get the things you want after a certain amount of years.

I have worked at Chevrolet and Pontiac Dealers for over 40 years and have see a lot of the Goodyear Tire line and the Eagle GT are as good or better that some of the previous styles, Goodyear is always striving to create a superior tire in the market. These seem to be a very smooth and comfortable ride and the dry handling is phenominal. I went through last winter with them on a Bonneville and the seem to grip very well in Michigan winters, as with any other tire if you want the best handling below 40 degrees you will need a sepearate set of winter tires they are a totally different rubber compound, but will wear like gummy bears in the summer because they are soft. The tire may not wear or work as well on some little foreign models because of unsprung suspension charachteristics meant for agressive driving and hence the driver unwittingly tends to do so.
