I've had a few sets of tires over the years, and these are tops for traction and road noise. However I have one big complaint: for some reason my car feels squirrely. I've had the tires professionally balanced, had my alignment checked twice. When I rotated the tires the car swerved noticeably to the right until I moved the tires back. Great tires but something isn't right. When I put the all-seasons back on, the vehicle drives normally again.

These are an excellent choice for SUV's. They are quiet for snow tires, hold the road well in dry or wet and are just awesome in snow. Having had Nokian on my last Escape these are superior in every way.

Live in saskatchewan, canada where we get -40 and lots of wind, snow, ice. We've had these tires for 2 winters now includin winter 2013 where we set an all-time snowfall record in this part of canada and these tires are excellent. I bought another pair for our civic too. Like a tank through snow and ice, low noise, cant even notice any wear after 10,000 km.

These tires are wicked. I had all-seasons when an early snowfall hit and they were brutal compared to these bad boys. I've had MotoMaster and Nexen winter tires in the past and even then I thought those were incredibly... average. With a small family and living off student loans and a part-time job, it is worth spending the money to ensure my family's safety while we're riding on these hogs. These tires will surely do the job, especially here in Edmonton where it snows copious amounts from late October to April. They are noisy on the highway, but they are doing their job. They handle extremely well and tear up the snow like it's nobody's business. I've never been stuck, slick snow doesn't stand a chance, and you won't see your life flash before your eyes with how quickly you'll recover from a black ice slide. I've had these for 3 years now and the treadwear is excellent. Be sure to switch back to all-seasons after winter, as the warm temperatures kill the tread.
