I am looking to by a new set of tires and reading the reviews have to make a comment. There seams to be a few people making complaints a bought handling on the road being unstable. As I read the reviews of some of the complaints I notice one thing. Its cald shocks people and if they are wore out you loose road control. there is some that may also need a wheel aliment. Doesn't matter how good the tires are if the wheel aliment is out or shocks worn then you loose control.

Chevy 2500HD 2008 (LT285/55R20) hauling a 5th of 14000 pounds. I can say that these tires are very good. I red some of the comment for that tire and really don't understand why some said that these tires are not good for big truck or work truck. Maybe they don't know what is a heavy hauling or heavy work.

I just purchased the Michelin LTX A/T 2 to replace the GY Wrangler HP P235/65R17 tires and have researched different sites and talked to other Jeep Liberty owners for downeast Canada driving conditions. In fairness to the GY tires, they had 71,000 km and probably could have had another 10,000 km of treadwear left, but with winter right around the corner, decided to purchase them now. The biggest difference so far, is the quiet ride of the Michelin (nitrogen filled). The jeep does not clunk on bumps (like the worn GY had) and handles well on both dry and wet pavement. I still have to wait for snow to come before rating them for snow. For a generous treaded all season tire; it handles well on gravel roads; very quiet also. I will revist the forum to update how these tires peform after the winter is over. The type of GY tread that was on the jeep is no longer available locally. I was contemplating Dunlop SJ6, but people tell me they are very noisy tires; but otherwise good on road and off road.

Very Good tire overall. I don't think the stock ones would have had any issues in our canadian winters but these tires were phenominal. I never got stuck and was able to plow through snow that was easily 12 inches deep and not get stuck. I even did so while towing my moms car out of the driveway and to the main street.
