  • I just purchased a set of these tires, my car has some suspension mods, and during a break in test drive, on the highway the tires were quite loose on the rear end making car feel somewhat out of control and not very snappy. The tires were quite loud while accelerating above 60mph on the highway making the car sound like it had a high pitch noise coming from the engine, louder than the super charger. The appearance is some what bulky looking with the tread visible that wraps around the side wall. I have replaced the old set of michelins which were decent, however both under deceleration and turning broke loose in a 4 wheel slide. The sales person thought these would be a good all around tire for this car, but he must drive a truck or something. I know the rain performance is great but at high speeds and low speeds cornering the tire is not for the aggresive driver. I will look for another tire in the same tread wear category, but not all season if possible. The tread is way too bulky for a light and sporty vehicle, maybe not for sunday drivers and commuters. These would be best on a larger sadan with a loger wheel base and less performance capabilities. unfortunately these things happen, there is always a trade off between performance and treadwear. when it comes to tires, do all your research and know exactly what you want before purchasing to save yourself the hassle. dont really know why the sales associate was pushing these tires so much on me. guess i will give him my opinion when i take these back.

  • Went from Pilot summer-rated tires to a set of four 17" Pilot A/S for my beemer. They are the only tires I will buy. Excellent handling in rain and low noise.

  • Rears only. They have made my M3 dangerous on the highway. If I turn the wheel too quickly on the highway, I can lose control as the rear starts wagging like the shocks are shot. They replace 2 sets of Falken 912s that lasted a combined 16K/miles. I took the car back to Sears and they told me the problem is with the front tires, which they claim are badly worn on the inner edges due to an alignment issue. I'm going back again today and if they can't make an adjustment, I will make them take them back. .
