    Summer

Drawing inspiration from Formula One design, the new Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2 tire represents a quantum leap in tire design and engineering. It outperforms not only its predecessor in every category, but all other Michelin® high performance summer tires as well, both in wet and dry conditions. An infusion of the most advanced tire-making technologies and techniques, from the highly guarded C3M™ production process to a Formula One inspired four-groove tread design, the Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2 is stretching the very limits of what an ultra-high performance tire can achieve.

    • Reduced road noise due to an acoustically tuned asymmetrical tread pattern.
    • Superior handling and grip in both wet and dry condtions as a result of an asymmetrical tread design featuring more grooves for water evacuation on the inside shoulder and massive tread blocks for max handling on the outside shoulder.
    • Maximum grip and handling without a sacrifice of tread life as a result of a stickier tread compound.
    • Precision handling and control in high speed cornering thanks to the Formula One inspired four-groove tread design which provides greater stability in the tread and contact area under extreme conditions.
    • Uniform shape at high-speeds, improved ride quality, steering precision and high speed durability due to a size-optimized, precisely placed individual Aramid/nylon hybrid filaments via the patented C3M Technology™ manufacturing process.
    • Extreme predictability in wet and dry max handling conditions through the use of highly specialized dual side-by-side tread co

I've had these tires on my 2003 350z for 2 track days and the dry handling is pretty good. However with just slight road wetness, the car keeps slipping everywhere, but that's to be expected. Overall it's great tire for dry+trackdays, scary in the wet.

Have these as my *summer* tires on all my Audis. (I have high performance winter tires for all my Audis for winter driving.) 245/35/19 on the 2008 A4 - 6 track events. Car has 50,000 miles but these tires have been the only summer tire on this car. Still going strong, but definitely show they have had some serious track time. Need replacing this year. 275/35/19 on the 2003 S8 - 2 track events. 10,000 miles on them. Over 80% of tread depth remaining. 255/35/19 on the 2008 A6 Avant - 2 track events. Car has 60,000 miles, but these are the second set of summer tires. My next sets of summer tires look like they will be the Michelin Pilot Super Sport - they are the new incarnation of this tire and are supposed to be better in every respect. The Pilot Sport 2 technology is now about 8 years old and it's *still* better than most other ultra perf summer tires.

Had these fitted to previous Audi TT (18" rims) and current Audi TT (19" rims). Simply one of the best perfromance tyre there is. Handling and grip can't be faulted and a quiet tyre compared to the Continetal and Bridgestone equivalents. 22k miles out of set can't be bad.

I had a set of Bridgestone S02 made in 2008. One of the S02 rear wheel went flat and discovered the S02 was cracked opened for about 8 inched at the position where the rubber meets the rim of the wheel. Luck the car was in my garage. It will be a disaster if this happened on the freeway. I have this new set of Michelin PS2 N3 for two months and thay are wonderful tires and with superb grip on straight and tight corners on mountain roads. I just hope the Michelin Super Sport series will soon produce the N specs tires for my
