Does This Tire Fit?

The CP662 is one tire for all seasons. A quiet, comfortable ride with great traction and braking is the result of lateral and angle round groove design. At higher speeds the upgraded shoulder and center rib block help cornering and directional driving stability. Wet weather driving is made safer due to straight wide grooves coupled with lateral grooves working together to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction.

  • 4 Straight Wide Grooves - Maximize wet traction and anti-hydroplaning performance.
  • Lateral Groove - A quiet, comfortable ride with great traction and braking.
  • Straight Center Rib Block - Helps directional driving stability at high speeds.

Front tires are nearly gone, my wife drives this car and I also have a car caddy to pull this car with our motorhome and I've pulled this car about 2500 of those miles and the back tires still have twice as much thread as the front. My question is why? Never been in snow, Florida car.

I have a set of 225/45 R18's on my Kia Optima, This is the first time in the history of my million miles driven that I have EVER had to replace tires at 23,000 miles due to treadwear. I always driven a sports or performance car and have never had to replace them short of 40,000 miles. Will be looking for an alternative tire going forward. Also, snow performance SUCKED! slight hills and tires would just spin.

These Nexen CP 622 tires came standard on my 2012Kia Forte Koup. Having never owned Nexen tires before, I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, getting 4 summers (April to November) use from them (approx. 40000). This I felt was excellent on OEM tires. I tend to drive a little more aggressively, and they handled well, and made little noise on cornering, and lots of grip taking off and braking. When I took them off last fall, they were down to 3/32", and only hydroplaned in very heavy rain, if the roads were in rutted condition. Overall, very pleased with them. I never used them in the snow, so can not rate that aspect of them. I scored it a 3, as I don't feel any all season tire is great in the snow, and always use winters.

Great in true dry conditions. Not as wonderful in rain; I can feel a good degree of slip off the mark and I need to be cautious on corners when moving fast. Pretty terrible in the snow, particularly when combined with a lightweight vehicle such as the Forte.
