Former GM cold weather test driver now living in Edmonton, Alberta. I drive like I was trained to drive, with these tires on a FWD Hyundai, light car and live on a seldom plowed street, parking in the back. No problem at all getting through moderate light snow (6 to 8 inches) and on the icy streets, they did not often get sucked into ice ruts. On flat icy roads, they handle almost like summer. Studded, they sound like popcorn, so I just turned the radio volume up a notch. Very stable. Sold the car and after seeing how well they worked, my wife has me selling the Blizzaks on her Elantra and she is taking these over to drive my kids around on. GREAT tires.

Excellent tires for the money. I drive pretty aggressively so I shouldn't be surprised that the treadwear is a little below average. The treadwear should be good if you are a normal driver. Handling is definitely worse with these tires on, but they grip the road very well in wet and snowy conditions. Very good tires for Canadian winters. I still haven't tried them below -15C, but if the temperature is higher these tires are great.

Got these studded for the last winter in Prince Albert, SK (Quite a snowy winter). They performed quite well, stopping performance was generally quite good. I found tread wear to be quite good, even after driving them around on dry pavement. Being studded and a winter tire they did have more road noise but nothing I found overly loud. I drove them fairly hard and had few complaints, overall I was quite impressed with them. And the service was great from 1010 tires. Have zero concern about getting through the coming winter in northern BC with them.
