My 2011 X5 came with Bridgestone run flats summer only tires. Size 275/40R20 106W front, and 315/35R20 110W rear. It felt like I was driving on rocks. Summer wet and dry driving was excellent. Since I live in Chicago, I was looking for an all season tire that would meet all the OE specs, so that I could use the original rims. I found that there was limited options available. Continental DW was one and Toyo Proxes STII was the other. I looked into the Continental DW, the front tires were and are still on a nation wide back order. I then looked into the Toyo's and found them in stock. I purchased them and installed them with 26000 miles on the clock. I now have 32,000 miles. The Proxes ride smooth, with no noise, they are great in wet and snow conditions. I feel like I am driving on pillows compared to the run flats. Cornering and handling, are just as good as the run flats I removed. I highly recommend the Proxes ST II for all X5 owners in the same predicament. Lastly, my X5 came with a spare tire therefore removing the run flats was not an issue..........

ive had a set of Toyo St proxes for about a month now. I must say they are the noisiest tires i have ever had by far. The rubber compound is great because i do notice the tires absorbing the road imperfections but the noise that is coming from the treas shoulders is unbearable. It sounds like im riding on the edge of the road where there are serrated sections to wake you up if you fall asleep at the wheel.I have used Toyo in the past and have been extremely satisfied with there product. But this particular model sucks because of the tires noise that is generated by the should lugs. Sounds like a mud terrain tire not a street performance tire.I am actually taking them off because of the constant noise at 40-60mph.Toyo should acknowledge the screw up on design and change the construction of the sidewall.

Just ordered another set!!! These are a very predictable and reliable tire. and perform very well overall. Great all season traction, long wear, and are capable street tire for an AWD vehicle. Highly recommended.
