Mechanic rotating tires noticed bad cracking on side of tires after 2 years. He said that according to the manufacturer date they were already 3 years old when purchased making them now 5 years old with only 15,000 KM. Workmanship warranty states they will be replaced completely free of charge before 25% wear and with only 15% used I contacted Yokohama. They had a dealer check them and agreed treadwear was low but would only replace at 50% prorated. So much for the warranty. I guess 50% is cheaper than small claims court?

The most comfortable tire I've owned. Not noisy at all, with very good wet weather handing. I've had the Yokohama Avid TRZ tires for 3 years now on my CRV, with about 60,000kms on them, and no problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend them.

Have had these 14 months. Haven't driven in snow, so can't rate there. My complaint is the tread wear. My car is a sedan, an automatic, and I am in my 50's and female, so I don't think I'm out "scratchin' off". Anyway, I was recently told by my mechanic that two of the four have only 10 percent tread wear. They were rotated once so far and the two that were originally on the front are worn the most. I have not have alignment or suspension problems. Have just emailed Yokohama regarding warranty and credit for a tire with maybe 15K on it which has 10% tread left. This was supposed to be a 80K tire.

Just replaced after 2 1/2 years. Bad problem with uneven wear (I rotated tires as recommended and kept car aligned). The noise was so bad it sounded like I had snow tires on all four wheels plus the car developed a nasty vibration over 55 mph. I also felt unsafe when driving. I was GLAD to get rid of these tires. Think twice before spending your money on these! I will NEVER go near a Yokohama product again...

Put a set on a CRV after only 45K miles they are down to 3/32" of tread they were supposed to be an 80K tire. They are also showing lots a minor cracking and weather checking after only 3 years of use. They were nice when new but now are loud and have no traction on wet or snow. Wont by Yokohamas again going to try Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 next.
