    All Season

The AVID Ascend featuring T-speed rated sizes is Yokohama´s first mass-produced Standard Touring All-Season tire line in the United States using Yokohama´s Orange Oil technology and branded with their BluEarth eco-friendly identification. Developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans and crossover vehicles, the AVID Ascend is designed to blend long tread wear, low rolling resistance and all-season traction, even in light snow. Yokohama BluEarth branding is used to identify an ecologically friendly series of tires that are designed to deliver environmentally, human and socially friendly solutions for drivers and their vehicles. Orange Oil technology uses oil extracted from renewable orange peels to improve the molecular bond between natural and synthetic rubber to enhance tire tread life, vehicle fuel efficiency and traction in all seasons.

    • The AVID Ascend features a mildly asymmetric tread design consisting of three ride zones that focus on dry grip, water evacuation and wintertime traction.
    • Large outboard shoulder blocks are connected by tread block bridges to maintain tire contact with the road that helps enhance dry response and cornering stability.
    • The continuous center rib provides constant rubber-to-road contact to enhance straight-line tracking while its tapered outboard edge promotes more-even wear.
    • Cross grooves and four circumferential grooves help evacuate water from under the tread to increase hydroplaning resistance and promote wet traction.
    • Yokohama´s 3D Adaptive Sipes provide more tread block rigidity for longer wear, while their biting edges increase wet and wintertime traction.
    • Inboard tread blocks feature higher density 3D Adaptive Sipes to provide additional biting edges that increase winter traction in light snow.
    • The tire´s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon on top of polyester body plies.

Thank you fellow reviewers. You are right this tire is awesome. My 2007 Camry feels like a brand new car ride. Quiet, soft ride and handles great. I just got the tires and hopefully they will be good for the long haul. This review site made me fill in everything, but I really don't know how they handle in snow, rain and treadwear because I just bought them.

If you want "QUIET" touring tires. Then say no more. These tires are really smooth & quiet. They certainly put the Kumho tires that were on my 2011 Sonata to shame. These are whisper quiet & handle just fine. They have very deep tread rating. They are 75,000 tires.Sometimes they won't be easy to find. The best place if you have one in your area.Is go to a "Discount Tires" chain location.Tell them you want the Yokohama Avid Accend" Grand Touring tires provided they come in your cars size. They will order them & have in 3 days time.I got mine from Discount Tire in Daytona Beach,Florida at an excellent price.I paid $550 for a set out the door, then I got a $75 visa card in the mail rebate, awesome tires for $475 a set.I get lifetime repairs, rotates & speed balance. They can't be beat at Discount Tires company.

I´ve been driving for 50 years--half a century--and I have never experienced such a dramatic difference with a change of tires. Either these tires are really good or my previous treads were awfully bad. These tires were recommended (along with five other brand models) as all-season replacement treads by Consumer Reports. After finding this website I was slightly apprehensive with consideration of their purchase with only six reviews listed, but so far I couldn´t be more delighted with the purchase and, of course, the ride. Upon leaving the service facility I immediately noticed both the uncharacteristically smooth ride and a remarkable mitigation of road noise; my wife was also duly impressed. I take express ramps pretty aggressively, and the grip with these treads was as sure as I could ever hope for. I also just returned from my first drive in the rain with these tires and did everything I could to make them hydroplane but couldn´t make them slip. Remember: This is a Honda Civic--a light car. Two of the categories I have yet to be qualified to rate are: Snow & Treadwear. So I gave them each a hopeful 4 rating. I didn´t want to wait to write this review in case someone else was considering these tires. If you buy them, I hope you´re as satisfied as I´ve been so far. Don´t forget to rotate every 6000 miles or every other oil change; otherwise, don´t blame my review.

Not even 30,000 miles on these tires and rotated every 3000 with my oil change. Doesn't handle well at all in the snow even with front wheel drive. VERY DISAPPOINTED....never again will I purchase Yokohoma tires.

Replaced Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring (excellent tire, got 85k, quiet and comfy). These tires are quiet and smooth. I noticed right off the bat less road noise, no squeal and a very comfortable ride. Living in NoCal rides in the mountains are sure footed and the Van tracks nice. Can't attest to the mileage yet, seem about the same as the Goodyears
