The new Geolandar I/T G072 sets a new standard for light truck and SUV performance in grueling winter weather conditions. Equipped with Yokohama's new absorptive carbon flakes and resin-coated shelled microbubbles, it cuts through the watery film and hugs icy surfaces with no holds barred. An aggressive tread pattern chews through snow and keeps on trucking. Its multi-flat profile provides increased road contact, with wider grooves that flush away water and slush with ease. The GO72 offers all the confidence you need to take on the most challenging terrain in snowy, icy situations. Plus it offers exceptional handling and outstanding durability, even when the going gets tough.

    Features:

    • Two compound elements combine to eliminate the thin film of water that causes slipping.
    • Absorptive carbon flakes use capillary action to draw water away from the surface.
    • Shelled microbubbles absorb any remaining water & improve contact with the ice and snow surface.
    • As the tire rotates, the water is expelled, prepared for its next contact with the road surface.
    • The silica with Zeruma agent compound enhances tire tread flexibility in very cold conditions, enabling it to grip the road.
    • 3-D pyramid-shaped sipes interlock to maintain strong tread blocks, improving block stiffness during acceleration, braking & cornering. Multiple edges offer better grip & control.
    • Multi-flat profile expands the contact area of the tread on the road surface & allows for wider grooves to expel water, snow & slush. It also reduces tread noise & irregular wear.
    • Power edge blocks equalize contact pressure under heavy loads, for increased stability & reduced irregular wear.
    • Reverse `V' shaped centre blocks evacuate water effectively from the centre of the tread under braking.

  • I bought these in a LT315/75R16 for my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel (that's right a 35x12.5" winter tire!). Stock suspension, they rub a tiny bit on my fender flares if I hit a bump with the tire turned right in the right spot, but no big deal. These tires are the sweetest winter tires I have ever used. I ran through 22 inches of powder snow (the bumper of the truck plowed the snow above that causing too much drag), uphill going to the top of a 7300 ft BC mountain. I have gone places with this tire where F150's (with LT265/75R16's) with chains have failed (due to the low F150 dragging through the snow). They wear amazingly well for a winter tire too, the siping is very deep and even though you may worn have half your lugs height off the siping is still there, providing close to the same performance as new. If you have a 4x4 that you want wicked winter performance from this is the tire for you. Not to mention, unless things have changed from when I bought them 2 years ago, the 315/75R16's are the largest winter tires you can buy. PS they are a winter tire, they are very soft and the lugs can get cuts in them, from rocks, if used in the spring. Also they have quite a soft sidewall and they truck handling will roll more than a summer tire, on the flip site, aired up they grab every frozen rock and root they find. Once mine are worn out I am going to buy another set for sure 5/5!

  • Pathfinder 2003 - 245 70R 16 - Have had them on my truck for 2 months now, lots of snow and ice this winter. Very nice ride (not noisy at all - don't know where or why this is being played up here), excellent in snow and slush, terrific on ice both on starts and stops, as well as cornering. I will buy these again and recommend them to anyone. Very happy with the choice

  • 09 F-150 XLT Crew 4X4 - 275-65-R18 - I bought these tires to go with my new truck. Here in Alberta its cold and snowy. An excellent buy. Great tires. They make a bit of noise but for the traction and handling it's minor. Everyone that lives in the cold and snow should have winter tires.
