  • 06 impreza STI - 215/50-17 - These were my 1st Yoko's and I'm impressed. What I can say about the Yoko's is that they are an amazing hard snow and ice tire. When the snow is soft and wet, the tread packs up with snow reducing it's effectivness. the same occurs in deep snow, as the tread is very close together and does not release buildup very well. Often ice and hard packed grip is reduced when a tire designed for deep snow. This tire definitely shines as a solid all round performer with a ice/hard pack specialty. They are very quiet on the dry HWY and don't tend to tramline. They like to "ZING" a little when the road has a light film of water. The tread wear seems to be accelerated by a few AWD power slides on dry and wet pavement, but I suspect if one would drive smoothly on the dry stuff they can last a little. As for value, they were on the expensive side. But when tires are in this size, the price goes up too. If you live on backroads, these are great.

  • 05 Subaru Impreza - 205 55 16 - amazing, I have been across BC on hwy's 1/5/3 to Sun Peaks, the snow and ice we have seen this winter in Seattle, and I never thought I'd appreciate a tire as much as I have this winter. I have been up hills in the suburbs out here where people that lived on the block would ask me what I had on my car because they have never seen a car with out chains make it up the hill. Just remember the conditions you are driving in because these tires will make you overly confident and you may find yourself in a mess.
