I run Toyo Open Country as my winter snow tires & love them, best winter tire ever! When dealer recommended the HT as a summer tire I had no trouble accepting their recommendation...baaad mistake! After only 60 - 70 km they are coming off. Noise is worse than snow tires, tread squirm seems to be a built in unwanted feature and my mileage is actually lower than snow tires by 2 - 3 litre/100 km. I run 60k - 80k a year and would not survive these tires if left on vehicle. Maybe size is a problem (265/60R18) as all positive reviews seem to be on smaller sizes. Only rating that I experienced were handling/comfort & noise others were only entered in order to submit review.

Best tires I've ever driven! Very strong, have hit curbs with them many times, but they never broke. The one bad thing is limited off-road capability, but these are not off-road tires. Also on snow they are not perfect, but again, these are not winter tires either!

One of the 4 tires failed internally, less than 20,000 miles. Never again. No snow experience
