FITMENT GUARANTEE
All orders are verified for fitment guarantee.

The Toyo Proxes RA-1 is unavailable for purchase or is currently out of stock.

  • Best operating temperature 160 to 220 degrees F. Higher than 220 degrees F the tire performance will start to go off, although temperatures as high as 300 degrees F have been seen before blistering takes place.
  • Camber: Negative 2.5 degrees to negative 5 degrees acceptable. Anything less than 2.5 degrees or higher than 5 degrees negative will create some irregular wear.
  • Pressures: Front Wheel Drive start no less than 24psi. Rear Wheel Drive start no less than 18psi. Goal is 41 to 43psi hot.

BMW E39 M5 (275/35-18) These are absolutely superb tires for track days. Like all race tires, you must get them hot but then they grip like crazy, corner wonderfully and are very predictable and easy to drive. Also suprisingly good grip in the wet. (In fact, maybe too good for skid-pad exercises!) The best feature for track-day usage is that they withstand heat-cycling better than almost any other R-compound tire. This enables them to maintain their extraordinary performance through their life, right down to the cords! They're a soft compound (of course) and I can get up to 18 days of use from a set, although when I was less experienced and over-drove them they lasted only 8 days. I'm now on my fifth set and would highly recommend them for track-day usage. I'd also discourage anyone from using them as street tires, particularly in colder weather.

Once they warm up, they are more like chewing gum rather than rubber. They last from 5k-10k miles, depending on how many track days they get.
