It's the Tires Stupid! Often I hear complaints about a new car’s ride and noise...but often the tires can change the whole perception of the car. Case in point my 2015 Lexus NX200t (2/2015) came with Yokohama Geolanders and right away I noticed too much noise. I adjusted the tire pressure to the Lexus recommended pressure and still noise on moderately rough pavement. 6 month later my daughter bought the same car equipped with Michelin MX tires and initially they were noisy but after 3 months they were noise free and comfortable. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and after 2.5 years and 12,500 miles I got the Pirellis. NIGHT and DAY difference. I’m perfectly happy with my car now. A week after I purchased them I was rear ended and my car was totaled. Of course I got another nx200t 2017 but they came with the same Geolanders tires. I said OH NO YOU DONT!! and Lexus accommodated me by installing my new tires from my 2015 onto my 2017. Same great ride!! One caution to anyone buying new tires...immediately after installation or leaving dealership check tire pressure with a good gauge and adjust to the car manufactures recommended tire pressure found on a label on the driver’s side door frame, mine is 32lbs. I’ve found over the years that tire installers generally overinflate the tires by several pounds with detrimentally affects the ride and noise. I noticed with Lexus and other companies they really underestimate the impact that tires have on owner satisfaction. They seem not to realize its THE TIRES STUPID!! By the way I don't know treadwear or snow performance yet, have only had tires short time in the summer.

Two punctures that may not have occurred in other tires, both punctures had so much damage that they were unrepairable. 27K miles on OEM tires and two tires had sidewall bulges. Quiet and great ride but will buy a stronger tire next time.

Have not driven in snow yet so really cannot say, just drove to Yellowstone though, from Wisconsin and tires performed beyond expectations, very smooth ride, only a couple of road surfaces caused any noise. Good traction on wet road surfaces , always felt like had complete control in cornering going around hairpin turns, uphill, downhill or level.
