Payment Options
1010tires.com currently accepts the following methods of payment:
- Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard)
Please note that phone orders are accepted only with Visa and MasterCard. For security purposes, we will ship your order to the billing address that is associated with your credit card of choice. (The address must be confirmed by our credit card processor.) If your billing address is a PO Box, please make sure that the physical address is added to your file by the credit card issuer.
In some cases, we can ship your order to an alternate address (i.e., a different address than the one that is associated with your credit card). However, this will require an additional confirmation and in some cases, will incur an additional charge. (We encourage you to email us such requests). As some Canadian banks do not comply with the security standards of our credit card processor, the transaction will require a manual verification of the information provided. In such a case, we will contact you by phone and request your credit card number along with the expiry date, and the security code that appears on the back of your credit card. During a manual verification, we are NOT charging your card a second time but simply verifying the information with your credit card issuer.
- PayPal
Must be a VERIFIED PayPal account and we can only ship to a CONFIRMED shipping address on that account.
- INTERAC payment from Canadian customers
The email address to be used is Interac [at] 1010tires [dot] com (no spaces), while the answer to the security question should be your order number.
- Money Order
- Personal or company cheque
Please allow us up to 21 days to clear the cheque, and before we start to process your order.
- QuickCollect by Western Union
If you choose this method of payment, the instructions will be emailed to you once we receive your order.
- Money wire
The instructions will be emailed to you once we receive your order.

Pricing & Currency
Prices on the website defaults to either US or CND currency according to your IP address. The only exception is if you live near the border
and have an internet provider in the opposite country. In this case there is a chance it may display an incorrect currency.
US currency prices may vary from day to day. We are a Canadian company, and we set our prices in Canadian dollars. The web site
automatically converts them to US Dollars using the current exchange rate. As the exchange rate varies, so will the US prices. When you
place an order, the price that you ordered at is recorded in the system. If the price goes up the next day, you will still be charged the
price that you ordered at.
Some of the products we sell are sourced out from our US affiliates and are shipped directly from our affiliate to our US customers. That
may explain a significant price difference between the US and Canadian prices. This is not a simple matter of currency exchange. As the
product enters Canada it attracts duties, brokerage fees, and other charges. Because of this when the the product 'lands' in Canada is will
be a significantly higher price.
We do not match prices with U.S. companies. As we are a Canadian online retailer, we have a different price structure than our US
counterparts. Some of the products that we sell may be cheaper than in the US while others may be more expensive. The difference in pricing
is beyond our control. If you see a Canadian online company that advertises a cheaper price than us, you are welcome to E-mail us and we will
let you know if we can alter our price for you. We will not do this over the phone as we need written records of this process.

Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
Q: |
Why has my credit card (cheque card) been charged but I didn't receive a confirmation of
the order shipped? |
A: |
We start order processing with credit card pre-authorization. Your bank sets aside funds for this transaction and some banks show it
as the funds advanced. That doesn't mean that we already charged your credit card. If the product is in stock locally, then we will complete
this pre-authorization when the order ships out. If the products have to be ordered in from a supplier, we will complete the transaction once
the parts are ordered. If you cancel an order for products we have had to order in, you will be charged a re-stocking fee so it's important
to be positive you know what you want before placing an order |
