Hi,

When looking at the pricing for various sizes of a tire, I've noticed there is additional information not covered in the FAQ.

For example, when looking at the Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero:

225/55R17 XL --> What is the XL?

245/45R17 XL MO --> What is the XL MO?

Can anyone clarify what these are?

XL = Extra Load - which is a way of saying the tire is capable of handling a higher load if a higher pressure is used - compared to a SL (Standard Load)

Here's a little more about XL - and a few other things:

MO means that the tire is an OE tire for Mercedes

N0, N1, N2, etc means the tire is approved by Porsche.

There are lots of other number and symbols, but those are the most common.
