"2000 VW GTI 1.8T - Had some trouble with my initial orders (first tried to get some of the clearance Pirelli 160S to replace 2 flats but they were out of stock, so then decided to get 4 new winters - tried to get the W404's which were also out of stock)and then the W400's were offered as an option which at the time were not listed on the website and could only be ordered by phone. Was a little hesitant as I was trying to locate an image of the tread. You can find one on hankook's CDN website. http://www.hankooktire.ca/tireproduct.asp?cat=5&model=2 Very decent tire and quite satisfied (just tried them out this past weekend and today here in Ottawa). Shipping was nice and quick from BC too (ordered on a Fri., arrived Wed. by noon) by UPS (each tire nicely packed in it's own box). "

"Protege5 - Just picked up a set of these for my Protege5. The worn out Dunlop sp5000s were totally inadequate for Canadian winters in Central Ontario. The w400s are just amazing on dry pavement. A non-car person wouldn't realize they're driving on snows. Just for fun I took the tires into a snowy parking lot, and I also stuck my front tire into a snow bank. The car moved with some slippage, but I didn't get stuck or have a problem starting. I also zig zagged on icy packed roads and the tires performed well. I also tried braking and had no problems. Much better than sp5000s in winter, but not as good as hard-core snows like graspics or blizzaks (much better in dry/wet though)."

"'04 Acura TSX 6-Spd - Put on a set of 225-45-17. OE 215-50-17's are very limited in winter tire. Also the load-rating is 91 as opposed to 93 OE, yet after calling my Acura Dealer, they said it would be fine. Overall the tire is great. I recently drove up a hill that was covered in ice. Traction Control kicked in, but very slowly I made it up. Dry & wet traction is really good. Would buy again."

"WRX Sti - Stock tires on my car are potenza REO70. Very dangerous to drive in snow. Hankook 400's are awesome."

"1997 Cadillac Catera - I bought these tires just before the big dump of snow we got here(Winnipeg, MB)in Dec. These tires have proved to be a good investment, as they work excellent in deep snow. Their not as good on ice as my sisters graspics, but in the snow I think they may have the advantage. My traction control nor my ABS kick in as much as they did with the all-seasons I had before. would recomend these to anyone that needs a great snow tire!"
