"1993 Nissan Altima Front Wheel Drive - Review with IG10 tires on all four wheels: Icy slush and snow/slush combo up to 4 inches, good handling at sensible bad weather driving speeds. Excellent handling in "dry snow" conditions up to about 6-7 inches due to "studless" tread design. Good dry weather handling. Dry road noise is not excessive at 55-65mph for such an aggressive satyle tread. Cold/wet handling at highway speeds very good. Also limited slip on exit/entrance ramp turns in wet and/or snowy conditions. For the price per tire I would hardly call this an "economy" winter tire. Yokohama makes a very good mid-priced serviceable winter snow tire."

" 98 Altima - Put IG10 195/15/65 in nov 2004. It is now Feb 2005. I am not impressed with traction in thicker snow, like that which builds up on the roads during a moderate snowfall. Not much traction in the deeper stuff. Very good on wet road with no snow. Good on ice. Due to the poorer snow handling I give the tire a lower "

"2002 Civic - This is Yokohama's ice tire entry, comparable to some of Bridgestone's Blizzaks. It may even handle better than the WS50. Wear looks promising too. Excellent on cold ice, not quite as good as things warm up or with too much snow. An excellent safety net for those unexpected slippery patches, though. I don't see an "ice traction" category or I'd rate that the highest (hint)."

"1999 Passat V6 - Actually quieter than my summer tires (Dunlop Sport A2). Good grip on ice and snow, Typical dry pavement grip for a snow tire - not meant for agressive driving. Take about 1000km to "set" and then soft, smooth quiet ride up to speeds of 150k. Good value."

"nissan sentra specv 2002 - Worst winter tire i've tried yet. Awful in deep snow and rain. Gets packed with snow easily. Good on ice and noise level is ok. Lucky it was cheap with the refund. Wish Montreal's winter wasn't so long. Love my summer AVS ES100 but will never buy a yokohama winter tire again"
