Bridgestone engineered the Blizzak™ WS-80™ so you can conquer the cold, snow and ice. With a suite of features that deliver trusty traction in all winter weather, it´s easy to see why Blizzak is "the official tire of winter".

  • A new Hydrophilic Coating reacts to the elements for confident stopping power on snow and ice. Advanced Multicell Compount® with Nano Pro-Tech® works at a molecular level to remain pliable in cold.
  • New Cavity Shape distributes contact pressure uniformly across the entire footprint area for even wear and dry, ice and snow performance.
  • Bite particles act like microscopic studs providing confident road grip and braking on ice. 3D Zigzag Sipes create biting edges without sacrificing block stiffness. Increased block edges by 20% (compared to WS70) for better handling on snow and slush.

I've been on the WS-80's for about a month. These tires replaced Blizzak WS-60's that had worn out after ~5 winters. Live in Vancouver, drive wet roads for most of winter but as a skier take lots of trips into the mountains and the interior BC to get my winter fix. WS-80's have been fantastic on the very wet roads of Vancouver. I actually noticed a performance increase from my summer tires on the wettest days. I've also had them in the snow and ice of interior BC over xmas. Performed as a winter tire should be expected to. No need to chicken out from the going up or down the steep snowy hills. Dry score - if its cold and dry, the tires are great. If warm and dry, there are better tires ie non-winter tires. Noise - Tire noise can be heard while city & highway driving. I don't find it to be a problem but it is present. Others Treadwear - No issue in the short time I've owned them. I don't expect extraordinary life from these winters or any equivalent winter tire for that mater. Wear is simply a tradeoff for performance in the cold, snow & ice.

I trusted Bridgestone years ago and giving them ago again. So far so good. Haven’t had a major snow storm to full see how they do. Had a couple of slick days and they did well. Will have to wait and see about treadwear. Gets a little loud on highway speeds but other than that beauty tires.

I am very impressed with how well these tyres grip on ice. Handling in deep snow is good as well. Too early to tell treadwear but this is a very good tyre.

Blizzaks have a big reputation so maybe I was expecting more but while it is a good tire I did not find them to be noticabily better than other brands I have driven on.

This is the second set of Blizzak WS-80s I have purchased. They have an extremely "squishy" feeling compared to high performance summer tires because on the tread/sidewalls but I don't drive as aggressively in the winter. They have the most grip of any winter tire that I have used and feel much more confident in the snow. I would recommend this tire to anyone.
