Designed for high-performance vehicles´ winter driving with performance in mind, the ContiWinterContact™ TS830 P offers exceptional braking power on wet and icy roads.

  • A high number of blocks in the shoulder area with more gripping edges guarantee that this tire will cut into snow more effectively, creating optimal grip in wintry conditions. The result - better stopping performance on snow.
  • A high block rigidity in the tread pattern centre coupled with a high number of sipes lead to enhanced braking performance on icy and wet roads.
  • Designed to work in harmony with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) systems. ESC selectively controls a braking intervention on one wheel to stabilize the vehicle. The unique tread design ensures the braking effect of the tire and consequently the ESC effect is optimized.

This is a very good tire. I replaced two year old Blizzak LM-32 RFT tires which developed a strange wowing sound as well as did not have much grip. To be fair they may have been installed incorrectly. TS830 P non-RFT reviewed here are significantly softer with a better ride, quieter and have a much better grip on snow and in icy conditions. They likely are also of a low rolling resistance as I registered a very good mileage on a few recent trips.

I bought Nokian Hakk 9 and took them off after 2 weeks and got Continental TS830 P instead as it is true better breaking and better taking off in snow and all situation. Expensive winter tires but worth it.
