These have been great winter tires, especially in fresh or deep snow. I have had them on my truck winter only since fall 2009 and average about 10,000 km per winter. There is 5-6mm tread left before wear bars and I have had them on about a month this year. One tire a few days ago developed a leak (lost 20lb overnight) and took it to a shop. Could find no leak after 15 minutes of looking. De-rimmed the tire and behold - small cracks in the inside of the sidewall all the way around both sides, near where the tread starts. My tire is toast! Lots of wear left on the tread with no visible external cracks, but it's rotting from the inside. I now can't trust all 4 of the Coopers, and have to ride my summer Michelin LTX (m&s) this winter. Too bad. I'd hoped to have lots of life left in the Coopers, but now have an expensive replacement set to buy and inferior snow tires for the winter. So thats why the 2/5 on the treadwear. The other lowered scores are influenced by having the Michelins which are better ride, noise, handling, wet, noise and even on glare ice than the Coopers. But I need my snows for our country roads!

Great snow tire. Very aggressive for the deep days and enough siping and a great rubber compound for the cold/icy days. I have had 4 sets on these ranging from astro van, to Toyota Tacoma to f150's. I wont run a different winter tire. I run a tire/auto repair shop that sells just about every brand. I have used them all (blizzaks, winterforces, ice gaurds, I.pikes. ect) and they all do well but for the money, tractions, miles and being made in the US....cant go wrong.

Bought 3 sets of these last winter for 2 trucks and a jeep. They are a decent snow tire but The tread is not deep enough in the P rated tires. I bought the P tires for the jeep and the LT in the same size for my truck. there is a big difference in the depth of the tread . the P tires tend to float allot in slush and heavy snow. traction is decent but I was expecting more from this tire.
I am trying the Michelin LTX winter this year . as a stud-less to studded comparison . it has already snowed here and so far I am liking the LTX winter

I used that tire last year. I haven't seen a performance on the snow.I think It is the best. I have Isuzu D-Max.
If you are going on mud,it is the best solution.
But one day the tire was punctured by wooden.(tire sidewall)
The thickness of tire is good.
