Light Truck and SUVs
The Discoverer STT™ is Cooper´s premium high-void, off-road light truck traction tire designed for drivers who want the utmost in off-road traction. It is offered in a wide range of commercial and large diameter flotation sizes.
"Armor-Tek3®" Carcass Construction. The heavy duty carcass of the Discoverer STT™ is constructed of two radial polyester body plies and one angled polyester body ply to provide 3 full plies of protection for superior resistance to impact breaks and bruising. Scalloped Shoulder Lugs. The shoulder tread lugs of the Discoverer STT™ are scalloped so that one section always has a clear shot at fresh ground for superb traction in soft surface applications and additional gripping power in off-road applications. Resistant Tread Compound Rim Flange Protector. The Discoverer STT™ has a specially developed tread compound that helps resist the cutting, tearing and chunking commonly developed in extended off-road applications. Strategically placed in the lower side wall area, a raised rim protector helps protect the wheel and tire from hazards in off-road driving conditions while enhancing the Discoverer STT™´s appearance. Super Traction Tread. The new Discoverer STT™´s computer designed, non-directional tread employs a combination of features including deep buttress lugs, notched and scalloped shoulder lugs, and a unique center traction zone to create a bold, aggressive tire for tough off-road applications.

Do not purchase these unless you own a jeep, smaller trucks, 1/2 tons only. Word to the wise, not for heavy diesel, they were shot at 5,800 hundred miles and noise vibration was maddening.
Copper did not stand by them on the complaint and you can read them at cooper my review never made on their site.
They told the tire dealership that my tires were spinned etc. I live on 9 1/2 miles of mountain gravel load with trucks. The old STT NON so called pro is on one truck that is three years old and those discontinued STT's are 30% and QUIET and worn perfectly.
Cooper told the dealer they would give a credit, but when they got the tires they said nothing.
I replaced them with COOPER S/T 's, which so far seen fine and good, but because of this, I shot carefully READ reviews, and will not buy coopers again, even though all ave been fine till I got the STT PROS, because it replaced the outstanding STT, crazy.

2005 Ford F250 Crew Cab, Short Bed, Diesel with 4" lift and stock 17" rims. I love these tires! I can't understand those who say the mileage you get is bad because I've gotten excellent mileage. The trick is to find the tire pressure that best works for your vehicle by using a chalk or grease pencil line across the tread, drive a straight line down your street, then check the chalk line to see that is wore evenly across the tread--to much air center of line wears away while shoulder line still there, to little air pressure, the opposite. For instance, on my truck, the front air pressure is best at 47psi and the back tires at 45psi. I lived in Lander, WY where roads are snowed and iced over all winter, and off roading/moderate 4x4 is rocky, sandy, soft and hard pack dirt and these tires never let me down. They do slip some on wet pavement if you get into the throttle, so ease into it on wet streets. These tires handle very well on the highway and I don't find them overly loud at all. The BFG All Terrain T/A's I ran before the Coopers sucked on my particular truck no matter what the air pressure I ran, they wore uneven, cupped, and practically dissolved overnight. I'll buy another set of the Discoverer STT's for sure!
