Put these on this winter, No snow yet so dont know how they will be. Drove to Tennessee from Michigan. Tires rode smooth and not noisy at all on wet or dry pavement. Handled great. Will see how they do when we get some snow. I feel confident they will be great.

i live in Lake Tahoe (lots of ice and snow) my wife has all terrains on an all wheel drive Subaru Outback. I have the altimax's on my front wheel drive Corolla. Bottom line, the front wheel drive with altimax out handles the all wheel drive. I love, love, love these tires Frank

We live in Canmore Alberta in the heart of the rocky mountains. Lots of different types of driving conditions. Blizzards, snow, ice and slush. We had the tires studded so they are noisy because of that. However they hold up through everything mother nature has thrown at us. Very good on black ice, ice and snow. Great handling. No sliding or tire spinning. Awesome tire!

Just picked them up today and I had a 250 Km drive to test them on a dry pavement. That explains the no rate in the snow, wet and treadwear section. I like the thread, it looks aggressive and well directed to evacuate the water and the slush. Since I was driving on dry pavement, I didn't find them to be more noisy than normal. I live in Montreal,Quebec. So the winters are pretty rough around here. So hopefully I will write a positive review this spring about the Altimax.

Had these tires for four winters now. Just 10k on them. They are an excellent tire, however, two have failed catastrophically. One, while sitting at a traffic light, another this year, had a noticeable bulge in the sidewall, and had to be replaced under the extended warranty. I haven't found any recalls for these tires, but two failures out of four is not confidence inspiring. If either one had failed at highway speed, I might not be here to tell the story. These failures happened suddenly, without warning.
