The Michelin Defender is unavailable for purchase or is currently out of stock.

Michelin´s best standard passenger car - minivan tire ever offering confident driving through exceptional safety, longevity and a quiet, comfortable ride so that you can protect those you care about most.

  • Exceptional grip provided by IntelliSipe™ Technology maximizes the number of sipes within the tire, which allows you to brake confidently when you need to most for greater peace of mind in stressful driving situations.
  • MaxTouch Construction combined with the interlocking action of Michelin´s Breakthrough IntelliSipe™ Technology delivers impressively long wear life by providing exceptional tread block rigidity while optimizing the tire´s contact with the road during acceleration, braking and cornering.
  • The interlocking action of IntelliSipes™ creates a more rigid tread block, which allows for a reduced starting tread depth leading to lower rolling resistance so you can save fuel without sacrificing safety or longevity.

These tires are absolute garbage! I bought them in May /15 and within a week noticed that the tires on the passenger side looked really low. I went into the auto centre where I purchased them and was told that 1/2 the air had leaked out of the passenger side tires, they replaced the valve stems. 3 months later I was about to go out of town to visit a friend and noticed the back tire on the driver side was low. I took it in to another tire place and they replaced the valve stem. Last summer I lost 1/2 the air out of all tires and all valve stems were replaced again. 2 weeks ago the front passenger side tire deflated and I had to get a new tire. The other front tire has enough air in it but it's soft and looks smooshed. I do not do a lot of driving. I live 5 min. away from work and am close to all amenities. I've had so many problems with these tires that I have started to avoid busier expressways, etc. I know that I'm going to replace the remaining 3 tires soon and I've only had them for a little over 2 years. I am so disappointed with my tires and will never buy Michelin again.

We have always installed Michelin tires and have excellent service with them. However these new Michelin Defenders are another story. Talk about "NOSY" is an under statement. They ride great but are sooooo nosy you have to turn the radio up high to hear it.

purchased these tires in july 2013 , at first was very happy with how quiet they were , that was short lived , tires are now louder , and have have lasted half of their stated tread life , I have spent the last few days going over the warranty process and have been told that I will have to cover 60% + of the replacement tires that are supposed to have 115,000 km tread life (estimated of course) I have put 57000 km on them in just under 4 years , and have been told the tires are at themax wear limit and should soon be changed . replacement cost now $597.77 (originally paid $726.15) I understand costs change and I would be responsible for some costs . needless to say I will call Michelin back and see if this is the best they can do , if it is then whats the point of buying ((high km rated tires)) .
