The Pilot® Sport A/S™ 3 is Michelin´s ultimate Ultra High Performance All-Season Tire with the highest level of performance and grip in all driving conditions..

  • Variable thickness sipes provide additional biting edges in low–grip conditions to improve wet and snow traction, but lock together in dry conditions to provide crisp handling and longer tread wear.
  • Unique biting edges in the grooves grip snow for better acceleration and braking in snowy conditions.
  • Helio compound with sunflower oil helps to increase traction at low temperatures, while X-Sil extreme silica technology provides exceptional wet grip.
  • Asymetric tread pattern and Variable Contact Patch 2.0 design result in strong dry performance combined with long tread life.

Excellent, excellent, tire. For an all season, it does quite well in the snow. I dont know why people are complaining about snow traction. I have doubts about their personal expectations. Your using a high performance all season tire folks!! This tire does very well in the snow, rain, slush, etc.. On dry cold pavement, I've never driven on a better tire. And I'm a certified auto technician. Very responsive in the cold. Best tires I've ever bought.

I'm actually running wider than stock. 255/35-19 & 285/30-19 I live in NYC and cannot store different sets for summer/winter so I was looking for something that can get me year round. The OEM ultra high performance summer tires are dangerous when the temp falls to freezing - even in dry so I wanted something that can grip in the cold as well as light snow. These tires are fantastic in that regard. Considering how wide and flat my rear tires are, I should be screaming about how awful these grip but I'm not. In fact, I'm wondering what the other reveiwers, who are complaining about snow traction, are talking about. For what they are, these tires have a surprising amount of grip in snow up to 6 inches and sub-zero temps. Tracking was fine and braking in snow are great for all season tires. From a standing start, the traction control would kick in but that is understandable and expected. I had to drive home in a snow storm last year - 8-10 inches The car did struggle from a standing start and keeping traction into the turns. If you are a reasonably capable driver, this chould be enough traction to get somewhere safely to park it for the night. My only complaint is the road noise. They are a little louder than I prefer and much louder than the Michelin PSS that came stock but its a small price to pay for year round confidence.

Too early to tell about snow or wear. Most other aspects of these tires are fantastic. They have a little less traction for cornering and off the line launches but all around far better than the stock noisy hard Bridgestones.

I drive around 200 miles a day, interstate miles and have been very disappointed at the wear the tires can endure. When buying Michelin, it was all that I have ever purchased for my other vehicles and have always gotten lots of miles past the warranty with them. I have tried both types the performance and the all season. All season out lasted the performance...had to have them replaced after 3 months, all season made it 9 months. Performance Pilot Sport had 15,000 and no tread left after 3 months. All season has lasted for 6 months, 20,000 miles waiting to get some in to replace them with they are at a level 2. Thank goodness that Michelin stands behind there products and I at least have a warranty with them. Can't understand why they wear out so fast. Checked the speed rating and that's fine and tires on both sets have been the same on all four tires as far as the wear. Not sure what else to do other than replace. I don't have much of a choice with the size that I have. Not been able to find any others that carry a warranty.
