Really like the aggressive wear tread on this tire. I've had them for a season and it seems like the tread is almost new. Just okay on ice, but I don't think there's anything that's that good on ice except for a studded tire or a tire with chains? My only complaint might be the tire noise, but I think it's very reasonable for a snow tire. I was worried because Toyo seems like it's a B brand mfg, but these are great tires! Don't hesitate to buy!

I do have an LSD diff ton maximize traction in winter conditions. Those tires grip really good in deep snow but i was expecting better on ice... I've used them at the begening of november and i've saw a little bit of treadwear after a mouth of smooth driving in dry conditions. At the price of aech tires i would love them to last a little bit longer. Those tires are silent at 50KM/H but start to make noise at 80KM/H ( my alignement is ok so it's no the problem).

Good tires but they aren't good in the rain. The car spins it tired very easily from a stop and fishtails in the rain when not careful. Traction control comes on when you mash the gas at 60mph in the rain.

I bought 4 GSi-5 tires for the 1st winter, and they are great if there's snow, and ok if it's just wet. They handle dry roads a lot better if it's cold out, although I recognize that mine are 65 series. At the start of the car's 4th winter I bought two more, to replace the most worn, and this (beginning the 5th) winter I have just bought two more. Because my now-discontinued Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires were less than satisfactory in any snow, I put my snow tires on early, and leave them on until the end of April; the result is my GSi-5 tires' life has suffered. I recently found out that an even 6/32" of remaining tread depth is way past this tire's minimum winter performance level, and they have no grip left in the wet, and a lot less than what is needed for snow. I am looking forward to having 4 good tires again this winter, for the car that the entire family drives.
