No matter what your vehicle; passenger, light truck, van, SUV or CUV the Observe GSi5 is the right tire for drivers looking for a safe and secure winter drive. For passenger tire sizes it is designed for a secure ride while for light truck or van applications it is designed to handle the load characteristics of that type of vehicle. Whether it’s snow, slush, ice or just simply slippery roads, the Observe GSi5 has the technology to handle all our winter conditions.

  • A Unidirectional Tread Pattern optimizes traction for both braking and acceleration.
  • Crushed Walnut shells embedded in the tire tread compound dig and bite into the ice surface for improved ice traction
  • Absorb moisture on the road allowing the tire and its technology to better contact the road surface for increased performance.
  • An advanced multi-directional sipe technology to ensure maximum grip when you are cornering, accelerating or braking
  • For improved traction in snow and slush when braking or accelerating.

After quite a bit of research I purchased these tires for my wife's Subaru as she has a 65 km round trip commute each day. Within the first 2 weeks I got a chance to test these tires out as we got a snow storm of about 20 cm. Needless to say, putting these tires on her car just isn't fair to everyone else. By far the best tires we've ever had. Plow through the snow with ease. As long as you remember that they're snow tires not tanks tracks you will be utterly impressed. I have no problem dealing with a slightly noisy tire in exchange for an amazing winter drive.

I read and heard a fair bit about the Toyo Observe GSi-5. All of the reviews and comments were quite favorable. Not having used this make of tire before I was somewhat apprehensive. I went ahead and installed the tires on my 2015 Subaru Outback. Thus far, I am pleased. Thanks Toyo!

Average tires. Lot of better tires available. I drive in Calgary and these tires slip and slide on ice, which is what is left on roads after City of Calgary clears snow. Good on snow but very poor on ice. I have had Walmart tires which are better than these!
