The Procontac tires on our 2011 C300 are nearly worn out at 20,436 miles. They have a treadwear rating of 500. We are very conservative drivers. The dealer and Continental said this is "normal wear." Maybe for their tires but we have michelins on 2 other cars including a mercedes with over 60k miles and still have life, both with a treadwear rating of 500. The tires perform well but just do not last.

a these tires are not safe. two flats in 11,000 miles. my wife drove only 500 feet from when the low tire press light came on and the side wall is gone. the other tire hit a pot hole and split the sidewall .Over 300 for two tires in 11,ooo miles is unacceptable I need some kind of recompence.

WORST TIRES EVER!!! Received these tires from factory after purchasing brand new car. First week driving, blew one tire from what I believe was a pot hole. The tire had a bump on the side, lost air and had to be replaced. 1 year later, got another flat tire on the passenger side and within a week after that, got another flat on one of the rear tires. One of the tires started leaking from the joint seam. In total, 3 tires gone in less than 1.5 years... Just shows how terrible these tires are. These tires are so thin, I`m now even afraid to drive over tiny pebbles.

Avoid these tires at all costs. They are the worst tires I have ever used. They came with my vehicle from factory and after less than 30,000 kms 3 of 4 tires cracked on the inner sidewalk, and the other simple split and the join seam. When I contacted continental for a warranty claim, upon examination they informed me it was my fault and due to normal wear. No manufacturing defects were present. I am not the only one with this issue, thousands of people have experienced similar issues. Avoid these at all costs!

I wouldn't recommend this tire to anyone there absolutely terrible. I have insurance that replaces my tires thankfully but I've lost 8 tires in 2 years/30,000 miles. I lost four at one time due to a major pot hole. Which I had them all replaced with same tires. The next two I lost I thought ok Indiana potholes but now that I've got goose eggs on the sidewalls on another two I'm getting different tires! Also have issues with moderate take offs from a complete stop dry or wet. Can't get a grip sometimes.
