The all-new AZENIS FK450 All-Season is specifically designed for today’s premium sport coupes and sedans. Through an array of advanced technological features including Falken Tires’ exclusive Tension Control Technology (TCT) process, engineers achieved an excellent balance of handling, high-speed stability and confident all-weather traction. Advanced tread-design simulation has allowed for slightly rounded sculpted-rib edges to aid in preventing rain groove wandering, enhance straight-line stability and optimize on-road feel. With 48 available sizes ranging from 16- to 20-inch and 68%* Luxury Sport vehicle coverage, the FK450 A/S is the choice for drivers seeking dependable all-season ultra high performance, year round.

  • 4D NANO DESIGN features new compound advancements through biomass materials to help improve tread flexibility and adhesion while at the same time reducing polymer heat generation.
  • TENSION CONTROL TECHNOLOGY is a proprietary casing mold shape that provides a more flexible middle sidewall area to absorb shock while providing enhanced handling capability via the rigid outside shoulder tread and bead area of the sidewall.
  • ASYMMETRIC RIB AND BLOCK HYBRID TYPE DESIGN allows for quick vehicle reaction, maneuverability and on-road feel.
  • TAPERED NOTCHED GROOVES create break-off points for snow packed into tread surface.
  • VERTICAL TREAD NOTCHES help minimize any loss of traction when transitioning from straight-line driving to corners.
  • LONG SWEEPING TREAD GROOVES clear water with minimal cavitation for great wet-driving performance.
  • SUPPORTING TREAD BLOCK BARS tie blocks in rib formation helping minimize tread squirm.
  • WIDE SHOULDER BLOCKS for enhanced cornering.

I haven't owned these tires very long so take this with a grain of salt.. but I did major research on tires for my car and there is hardly any reviews for this tire. I almost went with the Falken ZIEX ZE950 A/S tire and the reviews for that tire are well known good.. but my car is a bit more sporty and was worried about sacrificing in handling and I wanted an "ultra high performance all season tire" vs. just a high performance tire. I probably would of been fine going that route.. but me the worry wart... Anyway I decided to go with the more expensive Azenis FK450AS. I love the tire much much better than my old 12 year old (yes 12..) french Michelin Exalto pilot's.... it handles great, quiet.. great traction - a hint of soft and the ride quality has gone WAY up and I know the tread wear rating is lower so I don't expect this tire to last but my impressions are very good. Hopefully I'll be ok for the light Utah winter storms.. (I didn't rate that and rated tread wear lower) Anyway I wish I could of found an all season tire made in Japan (this one is made in Thailand) but all I could find was summer tires built in Japan.. couldn't go that route so I went with this tire... but overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

Fantastic for my car. Mostly highway driving, good stability at highway speeds. I've had to dodge a few deer with some sudden hard turning, tires respond quick. Taking off-ramps 'spiritedly' is very tidy, not much sidewall roll, no squealing, they're just happy to stick and do it, and that's not easy for a heavy sedan. Very good at resisting hydroplaning on the highway. Tread pattern leads me to believe that these would be horrible in winter, and I have no intentions of using as such. Overall, they stick, rain or shine, noise is there but not annoying. I feel it's a fair trade. Only complaint is for 1010 themselves. 3 were of one pattern, and 1 was slightly different, as if the pattern was slightly smaller.
