From there, General Tire engineers developed four key technologies, which provide a synergy of comfort, durability, and performance.

The Grabber HTS combines the synergy of style, durability and performance for a tire that exhibits excellent road manners and a long life.

  • DURAGEN: Ultra high strength steel belts, micro-fiber casing reinforcements, and a broad contour result in a strong, durable tire that provides even treadwear for longer mileage and confidence in challenging driving conditions.
  • ADAPTIVE PERFORMANCE: Response Grooves, Stabilink Bars and three kinds of siping result in an excellent all-season tire that promotes enhanced steering response and provides reliable performance when braking, accelerating and cornering.
  • COMFORT/BALANCE: An all-new tread cushioning system and noise-capturing pockets which provide a quieter, more comfortable ride without sacrificing responsiveness.
  • ECO RIDE: This latest-generation tread compound significantly improves fuel economy by reducing rolling resistance, and is designed to minimize CO2 emissions to support a cleaner, greener planet.

These tires scare me to death. within 3 months the right rear tire blew out due to the beeds separating from the tire. I had the Chevy dealer order another which just blew out because of the beeds coming out. It also has cost me the price of two wheel covers. After spending $700.00 on these tires, I can say I will never by them or any General tire again.

I bought these because they looked nice, seemed to be a good value and were recommended by the dealer for general road use as well as snow and ice. After a year of use, I'd say these have the best winter performance of any all-season tire I've owned! We were caught in a nasty snow/slush storm on Christmas day on I-29 - people sliding all around, cars in the ditch, etc. Normally I'm very careful in those situations, but my Grabber HTS tires felt so sure-footed that I was driving faster than anyone else and got home safely. I've had the truck for 5 years, and it has never performed that well in snow until I got these tires. If you live in a northern climate, these tires are great!

I had these tires for 35,000 miles, but should have replaced them at 25,000. Most of the driving was on dry/wet paved roads (no snow or off road use). Horrible treadwear. Tires don't grab the road well on curves, or fast acceleration from a full stop.

These tires are the worst tires I ever had. With roughly 13,000 miles on them I noticed that the tires were starting to crack in between the treads on all four tires. Not on the outside walls of the tire. They have plenty of tread left, but I can't chance having these tires blow out when I'm doing 65 miles an hour down the highway. They are terrible in the snow, I try my best to avoid driving even with a lite dusting on the highway. I pulled out of a red light turning left and starting fish telling all over the place and I was going easy on the gas. Will never buy General tires again. I don't tow or carry heavy items in my truck and it is mostly driving around town.
