I bought these for my XJ that I have been building as an overland vehicle. With that in mind I wanted the Jeep to be comfortable on the highway and be as capable offroad as possible. The XJ was never very quite on the highway even with the old highway tires. These tires are not much louder but definitely provide the offroad traction that I was looking for. I have been through clay, mud, and snow with these tires I have only been stuck once, and that was simply because I have open differentials (not for long). Im a college student and I drive as such. That being said I do abide by the laws and have never been in an accident nor have a I received a ticket. I have 13,000 miles on these tires and the tread has barely worn. Then again the XJ only weights 3,125lbs, so their isn't a huge load on the contact surface of the tire. ONE WARNING: These tires are not great when it rains on the road. This could be because I keep them at 35psi in a very light vehicle with straight axles. Great tires though. I would buy again for sure.
