Very good tire on ice and packed snow. Good on dry and wet too. I've done 5 winters with them (in Quebec...) and they're still good for another one. (about 50 000km done). They're good in snow too, but in 12 inch snow, they're not as good as real snow tires. Good value for the price (look for good deals). I got 4 Toyo Observe G-02 on a Mazda3 too and they were excellent too (even after 40 000km).

These tires are excellent! I run them on my truck on and off throughout the winter. I've had them for four winters. When other trucks are in four wheel drive I'm still in two wheel drive. When other trucks are sliding off the road I'm going straight as an arrow. When other trucks are sliding through intersections I'm stopped well before the intersection. Don't tow with these tires on. The tread is too soft to support that. I found out the hard way while pulling a trailer through the mountains in Colorado. Drifting is very difficult with these tires. I have a favorite spot I like to play at in the snow and if I have these tires on I don't bother. Will I buy these tires again? Most likely. It depends on the price and availability of the Bridgestone Blizzaks which I consider to be a very good alternative.

Good balance between treadlife and winter grip. Not quite as good as my blizzaks in snow and ice, but they last longer. I've used them on a dodge neon and a kia sportage. would have put them on my toyota tacoma if they came in a ten ply rated version. It seems like a lot of the people who dislike them are using them in above-freezing, wet conditions. I would agree that wet pavement is a weak point for these tires, but if you are mainly driving in above-freezing, wet conditions, whay are you using a snow tire in the first place?
